Banditt’s Weather Page V1.1
Banditt’s Weather Page is an online page formatted to work with your NMT.
If you live in the US you have two different options: A Forecast version and a Satellite Map Version

Get the URL:
1. Go to: http://worldaerodata.com/US/ and choose your state
2.
Find the closest airport to you that
has an ICOA code – Important: Not all have ICOA
codes!
3.
The url to enter as a web service:
http://www.brettcharney.com/HamWeather/webservice.php?ICOACODE
4.
An example for Denver: ICOA code – KDEN would be:
http://www.brettcharney.com/HamWeather/webservice.php?KDEN
5.
Make sure
to check that the airport you chose has a forecast by checking it in a web
browser. If the bottom part does not have forecast icons then choose another
airport
Get THE URL:
1.
Go to: http://www.brettcharney.com/weather/setup.php
2.
Enter your zip code
3.
Choose Fahrenheit or Celsius
4.
Choose which map you want to be displayed
5.
Click Submit
6.
The next page will give you the link you want to use in your index.htm
or enter as a web service
7. That’s it
Unfortunately, the scripts I use for gathering forecasts do not get international forecasts without a cost of $14.95 per month (which won’t be happening) so your only option is a 1 day forecast version with a satellite map
How to Find Your Location
1.
To find your location code, go to weather.yahoo.com and search for your
city and country.
2.
Once you come to the page with your weather, copy the name of the html
file from the URL. In this case: FRXX0076:

Complete the URL
1.
Go to: http://www.brettcharney.com/weather/setup.php
2.
Enter the location code that you found
3.
Choose Fahrenheit or Celsius
4.
Choose which map you want to be displayed
5.
Click Submit
6.
The next page will give you the link you want to use in your index.htm
or web service
7.

Why can’t I get a 5
day version for outside of the US?
It costs $17/month for international forecasts and is free for inside the US –
sorry.
